8 reasons our scoops are ideal for you:

1) BUILT TOUGH!
Made right here in New Zealand for our conditions, the scoops are rugged with the frame as a support for extra strength, along with the double gusset frame on the apron. Rams are mounted at the ends of the machine to relieve strain on the frame.

2) LOW MAINTENANCE
The three cutting blades are stepped and fitted on a shallow angle to enable the ground to be cut through and loaded easily. Other blade options available. They’re made from 20mm abrasive resistant, wearalloy for long lasting use.

3) USE YOUR OWN TRACTOR
Using your existing tractor, you can simply hook on the scoop and do the job yourself. Do it in your own time and get it done to your satisfaction.

4) STABLE ON UNEVEN GROUND
The low centre of gravity means you can take the scoop up, down and on hillsides safely (unlike tip trailers which have a high centre of gravity).

5) WIDER TYRES FOR BETTER STABILITY
Using the wide 16 ply ribbed tyres, stops the tyres from digging in and damaging your grass and gives you better grip on hillsides. These tyres also allow you to work in soggy conditions such as swampy land and peat soil.

6) YOU ONLY NEED ONE PERSON TO OPERATE IT
Unlike many heavy machines, you can get your work done quickly without the extra costs of more workers or machinery you won’t use.

7) CUT ON HILLSIDES WITH THE TILTING AXLE
The axle can be tilted in excess of 120mm (5° angle), making cambered roadways, drain cleaning and bevelling into hillsides for tracks easier than ever before!

8) EASY TO ATTACH
Simply attach the scoop to the tractor and connect the hoses to the hydraulic bank and you’re ready for action

FINALLY, AN EASY WAY TO SCRAPE, CARRY, AND SPREAD YOUR SOIL!

You can do it all with one machine...a Hautapu Scraper Scoop!

Hautapu Welders manufacture custom-built scoops (or scrapers) available in a range of sizes all of which use the same simple process to cut land and can fill the scoops in less than 20 seconds.

Whether you’re filling gullies, flattening paddocks, creating farm raceways, roading or subdivisions, Hautapu Welders have the perfect scoop for you.

Our scoops range from 1m³ in capacity to a colossal 11m³ with the size of your scoop only restricted by the amount of horsepower produced by your tractor.

All of our scoops/scrapers can be attached to your tractor using two different fittings, the fixed drawbar fitting or plough arm fitting. Simply hook up your tractor to the preferred fitting, attach the hydraulic hoses the connections that you normally use and you’re ready to cut, scoop, shift, spread or dump to your hearts content.

Our scoops are the most versatile on the market, combining a digger, dump truck, grader and scoop all in one simple, easy to use machine.

You can make money from your scoop!

Our customers hire out their scoops to local farmers and contractors and make up to $200 a day - that’s $1,000 + GST per week!

Not only will a Hautapu scoop save you time and money, you will also be able to get a direct cashflow from it! At Hautapu Welders,we advertise nationwide and often get calls from people who are keen to hire a scoop. This has resulted in a service to help out many loyal scoop owners. Now when you buy a scoop, we can put you on our hire list so that when someone from your area wants to hire one, they can get it directly through you!

20 seconds is all it takes to clear 9 cubic metres of soil!

Using Hautapu Scoops couldn't be easier. Simply attach the hydraulic hoses and you can use your regular controls to steer, lift and move our scoops.

The Hautapu scoops come in a varying range of sizes, all of which use the same simple process to cut land, full the scoop and empty soil in the desired area. The largest of the scoops, the Maxi 800, fills up to 9m³ of soil in less than 20 seconds and can be towed across paddocks without damaging existing pasture. The size of your scoop will depend on the horsepower of your tractor, but all of our scoops do a brilliant job and have the same simple attachments. We also have drawbar models to suit any tractor!
